We are now offering Semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) injections for weight loss! This highly effective, FDA approved weight loss solution has been all the rage, and for good reason – it works.
But how effective is it? A study of 2,000 adults who struggled with obesity compared people using semaglutide plus a diet and exercise program with people who made the same lifestyle changes without semaglutide. How do I get started? You can do this at an outpatient lab (Quest) or have it ordered by your PCP. We do not do labs at our facility. You’ll need to have those results before you meet with a provider (MD or NP). Your virtual exam, along with your lab results will determine if you are eligible to start semaglutide injections.
This is a once weekly subcutaneous injection that begins with a lower dose and increases every 4 weeks until you reach the maximum dose. Prior to increasing your dose, you will be re-evaluated by a provider to determine if it is safe for you to increase your dose.
